Review the available customizations below and use our Request Customizations form to change your logo, color(s), or language on TurboVote. This form will show you the places on your site where you can add or alter language.
To provide a seamless user experience, some language will not be visible when TurboVote is embedded on your website.
URL
The first aspect of your TurboVote site to consider is the URL, which is customized for each partner. It can simply be your institution’s name or nickname (e.g., dosomething.turbovote.org), or the name of your voter engagement initiative (e.g., votesc.turbovote.org). It’s up to you! We encourage partners to choose a URL that is short, simple, and easy to remember.
Logo and Brand Colors
You can customize your TurboVote site with your logo and brand colors.
| A TurboVote embed on EDF's website and Vot-ER's TurboVote destination site. Images have arrows pointing at areas of these pages where a partner logo and custom colors would be placed. |
A note on accessibility: we rely on the industry standard webaim.org contrast checker tool to ensure everyone can access your TurboVote site with ease.
Please share a primary accent color with our team that is dark enough to pass contrast tests when shown against a white background.
We'll reach out if we need to use a different accent color that will provide sufficient contrast with the white text on TurboVote (hex code #ffffff). If you have a color that does not pass the contrast test, one option is to use it as the secondary custom color, since this neither applies to text nor serves as the background for text. You can then use a darker color for your primary color.
Home Page Icons
TurboVote Home Page Icons are designed to help voters understand the most relevant actions TurboVote can help voters take. The three highlighted actions will change depending on the phase of the election, promoting topics such as ballot info, registration, voting by mail, voting early, finding a polling place, and more!
The default icons shown use your brand colors, but you have several other options to choose from. We also offer an illustration collection featuring voters taking action that is highlighted on turbovote.org, and one with voting-related objects highlighted on example.turbovote.org. You can also share your own set of icons or images.

TurboVote Site Footer
You can use the tagline in the footer of your TurboVote site to remind voters of the trusted organization — yours — through which they access helpful voting guidance. This customization supports HTML so you can include a link to your website.

Custom Language
You may request to add custom language to certain pages within TurboVote. You can build upon TurboVote’s default language by including voting information specific to your organization, promoting voter engagement initiatives, or linking to a website or email address for users to follow if they’d like more information about your efforts.
Feature your logo in reminder emails
TurboVote partners have the option to include their own logo (replacing the TurboVote logo) in Vote ASAP and Vote Tomorrow email reminders.
