Drive Traffic to Your Site With TurboVote Embeds and Notifications

  • Updated

Did you know that embedding TurboVote on your website is an easy way to drive traffic back to your site? When your TurboVote users tap a link to view their personalized Election Guide from an SMS/email election reminder or another notification, you can configure these links to open in the TurboVote embed on your site instead of your TurboVote destination site ([partnername].turbovote.org).

What are the benefits of this?

  • Automatically drive traffic to your site with no additional action needed from you.
  • Build trust with your audience by turning your own website into a reliable, personalized voting resource.
  • Add custom content on your site introducing your TurboVote embed.
  • Keep users engaged on your site after they’ve completed an action in TurboVote.

For example, a demo user clicking the link from their SMS/email reminder would be taken to your website to view this personalized Election Guide. You can visit our demo site to see all TurboVote embeds in action.

How to Opt In

To take advantage of this feature, visit the Request Customizations Form and check the "Branding" box under “What would you like to customize?”.

When you embed TurboVote on your site, be sure that visitors to that page don’t need to sign in and won’t encounter pop-ups, modals, or other elements that might interfere with using the embedded tools. You can also check out other best practices for embedding TurboVote on your site.
